Perspectives in Global Development Seminar Series: Fall 2021
In this seminar, environmental and climate justice scholar Dr. Prakash Kashwan shares insights from his two-decades-long engagements in international development and academia. He will first present cross-national evidence about the contemporary impacts of global conservation's colonial and racist legacies. Then, he brings together findings from natural and social sciences to demonstrate how scientific research can contribute to anti-racist and regenerative environmentalism. Finally, he also reflects on the implications for 'nature-based solutions' to the climate crisis and global development.
Note: This seminar is rescheduled from the planned October 27 event.
