Marius Weigert
Director of Innovation and Engagement, Office of Research and Innovation
My career spans 15+ years in the business world, starting with finance and marketing with the majority spent in strategy consulting both with external clients and in-house. I have a focus on business partnering, organizational growth, procurement optimization and innovation. Throughout my career I have always been interested in life sciences and enjoy bringing both my personal and professional interests and backgrounds together at Cornell. I have an executive masters of business administration from ESCP Europe, attending classes at different campuses around the world, providing a multi-cultural and multi-faceted experience with different business practices and industries. I received my bachelor of science in international business from the George Washington University.
My role within the Research and Innovation Office is to support all CALS stakeholders with innovation and engagement and any business-related matters. In doing so, I support faculty collaborations with partners, identify and cultivate relationships for sponsored research and other opportunities, and assist students secure internship opportunities and future job placements.
