Kaitlyn is a bilingual dairy management specialist with the Northwest NY Dairy, Livestock and Field Crops team. She assists farms with labor management, focusing on the Hispanic labor force, and dairy herd health education and trouble shooting. Some specific focus areas include:
- Employer-employee communication
- Protocol development
- Welfare assessment and compliance
- Herd health management
- Organic dairying
Prior to joining Cooperative Extension, Kaitlyn worked as a dairy veterinarian throughout the United States and Internationally. She received her BS in Animal Science from the University of Delaware and VMD from University of Pennsylvania. She is also a board-certified Food Animal specialist through the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners.
