Jiawei Liu is a Postdoctoral Associate in the Department of Communication at Cornell University. Liu’s research interests revolve around using empirical methods to investigate the effects of mass media and social media messages regarding various public health issues and public policy issues. Liu earned a B.A. in International Journalism from the Communication University of China, an M.S. in Journalism from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and a Ph.D. in Mass Communications from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
