Jiawei Liu is a Research Associate in the Jeb E. Brooks School of Public Policy at Cornell University. Liu’s research interests revolve around using empirical methods to investigate the content and effects of mass media and social media messages regarding public health issues and public policy issues. Liu has more than 30 publications, and he is an editorial board member of Health Communication. Liu earned a B.A. in International Journalism from the Communication University of China, an M.S. in Journalism from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and a Ph.D. in Mass Communications from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
