The CALS Alumni Association promotes fellowship and leadership among alumni, students, and faculty and advances the teaching, research, and extension functions of the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences at Cornell University.
The Association focuses on providing lifelong learning, networking, and engagement activities for alumni, students, and friends of CALS. Additional foci include highlighting alumni success stories, showcasing CALS academic priorities, and recruiting the best and brightest prospective students.
There are many opportunities to be more involved with the CALS Alumni Association, CALS, and Cornell. The involvement opportunities chart contains more detailed information and ideas on how to become more engaged in the Cornell community.
The Alumni Association has a long history, and its success depends on the dedicated, thoughtful volunteers that carry on a legacy of excellence.
Want to volunteer for the CALS Alumni Association?
Not all alumni can return to campus, so CALS depends on Alumni Association district directors to help communicate and engage those in their regions by hosting events, sharing ideas and news, advocating for CALS, and various other activities. Alumni interested in becoming regional directors or becoming more involved in CALS regional activities should contact Scott Pesner at email@example.com, view the online position description, or indicate your interest through CUVolunteer.
Student directors provide leadership, offer insight, and represent the CALS student body on the Board of Directors and Student Leadership Committee. Additionally, student directors help to develop programs that promote the association and alumni involvement to undergraduate and graduate students. Learn more about becoming a Student Director.
