Honors Thesis Title:

Research Objectives (< 600 words)

Clearly and concisely explain the objective(s) of your study. If relevant, describe alternative hypotheses and predictions for each hypothesis. As you write this section, remember that the honors committee consists of scientists from diverse fields of study. Be sure that your objectives and explanations can be understood by scientists from other areas. This means, avoid jargon and explain ideas that are not common knowledge.

Results To-Date

In the context of your research objectives, describe the results you have thus far that will ultimately be a part of your thesis.  If you have partial results, preliminary data, or data showing you have optimized a technique required for your thesis, describe that here. Include any figures, tables, and figure legends as appropriate.

Work to be completed

In the context of your research objectives, list the remaining work you need to complete for your thesis. This could include additional experiments, data processing, and analyses. Please note if future experiments depend on the results from an experiment in progress, etc.
