Food Processing Bootcamp
This free program, August 22-24, 2023 at Erie Community College, is designed to set students up for strong food processing careers (i.e. manufacturing of cheese, yogurt, butter, fluid milk, vegetables, etc.). The program will provide students with background information about food processing and exposure to job opportunities, including a tour of a local dairy plant. Participating students will have the chance to connect with companies to set up job interviews, and they will receive a “Cornell Food Processing Certificate” that can be used when applying for any food processing job. No prior agriculture or processing knowledge is needed for this program. Participants are invited to apply for this FREE program which has a $500/student value.
