Abstract
Traditional produce processing treats structural plant components—skins, seeds, and fibrous cores—as low-value waste, stripping essential dietary fibers and polyphenols from final food products.
Innovation
By integrating food science, sustainable agriculture, and mechanical engineering, we developed a proprietary nano-milling process that utilizes 100% of the edible plant biomass. This technique reduces whole produce into a silky colloidal suspension below the human tactile threshold, eliminating gritty mouthfeel without thermal degradation or ingredient stripping.
Results
Nutritional analyses confirm retention of native dietary fibers and bioactive polyphenols compared to raw produce. Sensory evaluations show strong consumer preference for its smooth texture and natural flavor. Deployed in New York State retail channels, our nano smoothies are outperforming leading national brands in sales velocity per store day.
Conclusion
Valorizing complete edible biomass establishes a zero-waste processing model that delivers superior functional nutrition, exceptional sensory quality, and proven commercial viability in regional markets.
