A zoom call pulled up on a laptop with a green mug next to it on the table

There were many challenges to teaching on-line during the fall semester.  The CALS Committee in Support of Teaching and Learning talked to students and surveyed faculty to develop our list of “Top 10 Challenges to On-Line Teaching.”

Join a zoom discussion with a panel of CALS undergraduate students who will provide their feedback on how to deal with 5 of these challenges:

The first 5 Challenges to On-Line Teaching include:

  1. Getting on-line students to engage with the material
  2. Managing active learning in the virtual classroom
  3. Having students interact in breakout rooms
  4. Needing to use more outside resources (e.g. recorded lectures and readings) to cover material
  5. Creating an inclusive and supportive community of students, TAs, and teachers

There will be plenty of time to ask questions and share best practices. Register below by 5 p.m. Monday, Feb 15. We will send you the zoom link before the event.
