There were many challenges to teaching on-line during the fall semester. The CALS Committee in Support of Teaching and Learning talked to students and surveyed faculty to develop our list of “Top 10 Challenges to On-Line Teaching.”
Join a zoom discussion with a panel of CALS undergraduate students who will provide their feedback on how to deal with 5 of these challenges:
The first 5 Challenges to On-Line Teaching include:
- Getting on-line students to engage with the material
- Managing active learning in the virtual classroom
- Having students interact in breakout rooms
- Needing to use more outside resources (e.g. recorded lectures and readings) to cover material
- Creating an inclusive and supportive community of students, TAs, and teachers
There will be plenty of time to ask questions and share best practices. Register below by 5 p.m. Monday, Feb 15. We will send you the zoom link before the event.
