Cornell Viticulture and Enology Extension programs invite growers and winemakers to several online informational sessions on vineyard and winery topics. We are pooling resources to make informal field meetings held by each program into virtual meetings direct to your cell phone or computer via the internet and zoom.
Each meeting will feature a management topic with faculty and extension panelists making informal presentations followed by a question and answer session. We intend this to be a conversation, and will address questions submitted in advance, or ‘live’ through the zoom chat bar or directly through the phone or computer app as possible.
These meetings will bring in speakers for informal discussions of various topics, as well as addressing current questions and topics from growers and winemakers as the season progresses. Pre-registration is required, but you will only need to register once to attend all sessions.
Please Note: If you are seeking pesticide re-certification credits for NYS, then you need to connect via Zoom app or Zoom software with video and pre-register.

The CoVid-19 pandemic is heavily impacting sales and demand for wine, along with tasting room visitation. COVID-19 is an unprecedented shock that will bring unpredictable short-term and long-term changes to the industry. How will this affect the market for grapes this year? Beyond this year? And what can growers do to adjust to this new situation?
Join Gregg McConnell and Kevin Martin, along with area extension specialists Hans Walter-Peterson, Tim Martinson, Alice Wise, Jim Meyers, and Jennifer Russo for an informal discussion of how to plan now for COVID-19’s impact on small-to-medium sized wineries, the grapes they buy, and the wine they will be making this fall.
