Join members of Cornell's New York Soil Health Team, Cayuga and Tompkins Soil and Water Districts, and King's AgriSeeds/Cayuga Ag Enterprises to view and discuss summer and fall-planted cover crops. We have expanded our demonstration plots to 60 large cover crop plots and we'll have plants dug up to compare roots. We have both summer cover crops (planted in July) and winter cover crops (planted in late August). Single species as well as multi-species mixes will be on display. Come walk and talk with the experts to help learn how to select the correct cover crop and even make a custom mix to meet your specific soil health and crop production goals. Stay as the sun sets for dinner and continued conversation.
- Summer and winter cover crop species and mixtures demo (60 plots!) – Matt Ryan, Kristen Loria, Joseph Amsili, Ginny Moore, Cornell, Rod Porter, King’s AgriSeeds, and more
