Learn about the gardens tended by community members and BluePrint Geneva staff and volunteers at Crystal Street Public Garden at this free event.

  • Look for insects in the garden - both “helpers” (pollinators and natural enemies) and “unwelcome guests” (pests).
  • Learn to recognize common plant diseases, especially on tomatoes and cucumbers.
  • See the beautiful fruit the tomato and cucumber plants can produce even when pests are present.
  • Taste delicious tomatoes and cucumbers grown in the garden.
  • Enjoy dinner and activities for children.
  • Bring home seeds of disease-resistant tomatoes and cucumbers for next year and perennial native flowers you can plant this fall.

What to bring:

  • The whole family! We’ll have kid-friendly activities.
  • A water bottle, bug repellent, and a chair.

Dinner will be provided.
