Spring 2026 Harry ’51 and Joshua ’49 Tsujimoto Perspectives in Global Development Seminar Series

About the speaker

Matias G. Nardi, PhD is the U.S. Country Manager for DeepAgro, a technology company specializing in AI-driven agricultural solutions that enhance efficiency and sustainability in farming. In his role, Dr. Nardi leads the company’s strategic initiatives and market development efforts across the United States, helping to expand DeepAgro’s presence and partnerships in the global agtech ecosystem.

Prior to his current position, he joined DeepAgro in 2021 as a Business Development Officer, where he initially focused on identifying opportunities and building relationships to support commercial growth and investor relations. Alongside his work at DeepAgro, Nardi has been the owner of NardiAnalytics LLC since 2012, providing consulting services rooted in agricultural economics and market analysis.

Dr. Nardi’s academic background is firmly grounded in agricultural sciences and policy. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Agronomist Engineering from the University of Buenos Aires, followed by a Master’s in Agricultural and Applied Economics and a PhD in Policy Studies from Clemson University. During his doctoral studies, he served as a Graduate Research and Teaching Assistant, presenting research at international conferences and contributing to the development of graduate coursework. Earlier in his career, he worked as a Junior Researcher with Argentina’s Programa de Agronegocios y Alimentos, focusing on grain and oilseed marketing and risk management training both domestically and in the United States.

About the seminar series

The Harry ’51 & Joshua ’49 Tsujimoto Perspectives in Global Development Seminar Series showcases innovative approaches to development with experts from around the globe. Each year, the series attracts online registrants from over 45 countries and more than 350 organizations. 

Seminars are held Wednesdays from 12:20-1:10 p.m. Eastern time during the semester in 175 Warren Hall. Students, faculty and the general public are welcome to attend in-person or via Zoom.

The series is co-sponsored by the Sections of Global Development and Natural Resources and the Environment and the Charles H. Dyson School of Applied Economics and Management as part of courses GDEV 4961, AEM 4961, NTRES 4961, GDEV 6960, AEM 6960, and NTRES 6960.
