Join a thought-provoking special event organized by the U.S. Department of State Office of Agricultural Policy featuring an expert panel dedicated to advancing gender equity in agricultural technology. This session will explore strategies and challenges in providing women farmers with the tools and technology necessary to thrive, aiming to bridge gender gaps in agricultural innovation and access. 

Panel:

  • Moderator: Dina Esposito, Assistant to the Administrator for the Bureau for Resilience, Environment, and Food Security (REFS) at USAID and the Feed the Future Deputy Coordinator for Development
  • Panelist: Stella Thomas, CEO of Techniseeds and a member of the Global Farmers Network
  • Panelist: Raja Rajeswari Meka, Women and Youth Enterprise Development Specialist, Feed the Future Insect-Resistant Eggplant Partnership led by Cornell University
  • Panelist: Alexis Taylor, Under Secretary for Trade and Foreign Agricultural Affairs at USDA

Opening remarks will be delivered by Acting Assistant Secretary of State for Economic and Business Affairs Amy Holman, followed by remarks from IFAD Vice President Gerardine Mukeshimana.
