• Teaching Consumers Produce Safety highlights the importance of working together with consumers, industry, and government to ensure food safety and prevent foodborne illness.
• This course is designed to inform consumer educators of existing resources, best practices, and challenges to teach consumers produce safety principles.

• Introduce educational resources that are available to teach consumers about produce safety.
• Identify food safety risks introduced in fresh produce by the consumers.
• Navigate key elements of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and strategies to mitigate
  risks introduced by the consumers.
