Assistant Director, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, Cornell Cooperative Extension
Eduardo González, Jr. (he/him/his) serves as the Assistant Director for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) for Cornell Cooperative Extension. In this capacity, Eduardo provides leadership on systemwide DEI organizational transformation efforts designed to promote belonging and engagement through an antiracist lens. A key area of Mr. Gonzalez’s work is assisting staff, managers, supervisors, and other key leaders to understand and engage in the important inner work (self-awareness, vulnerability, trust-building, authenticity, empathy, etc.) and develop the skills needed to support and sustain organizational transformation efforts on diversity, equity, and inclusion. Mr. González is a Cornell Certified Diversity Professional/Advanced Practitioner (CCDP/AP) with over 25 years of experience working with a wide variety of not-for-profit and educational institutions in design and implementation of organizational development initiatives. Eduardo holds a Bachelor's in Human Services and a Master’s in Public Administration from Pace University.
