David Bonter is an avian ecologist focused on mentoring undergraduate research, teaching field courses, and engaging the public in scientific research. He serves as the Arthur A. Allen Director of Citizen Science at the Cornell Lab of Ornithology.
The 26th annual Great Backyard Bird Count – in which bird and nature lovers around the world unite in an effort to tally as many species as possible over four days – begins Feb. 17 and runs through Feb. 20.
The 25th annual Great Backyard Bird Count is scheduled for Feb. 18-21. All are invited to join the count so that as many birds as possible can become part of a massive database used by scientists to track changes in bird populations over time.
