Agustin Olivo, is a Ph.D. student in Animal Science, part of the Nutrient Management Spear Program (NMSP) led by Dr. Quirine Ketterings. Agustin is originally from Argentina and joined the NMSP team in August 2020 to work in the development of sustainability indicators for the dairy industry, particularly looking at nutrient use efficiency and greenhouse gas emissions. He holds a bachelor’s degree in agronomy from the National University of Córdoba, Argentina, and a master's degree from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, USA. At UNL, he led an on-farm research and high school engagement program that aimed to equip farmers and other stakeholders with skills to identify agronomic and soil health benefits of recycling animals' manures as soil amendments. Before joining the NMSP, he also interned with Field to Market, the Alliance for Sustainable Agriculture.
