The date for the annual Cornell Field Crop research field day has been set for Thursday, August 18th at Musgrave Research Farm in Aurora, NY. The program will include:

  • Margaret Smith & Shawn Bossard: Supporting New York Crops Producers for the Future:  Cornell University Agricultural Experiment Station Programs and Initiatives

  • Annika Rowland, Uriel Menalled, Kristen Loria, Chris Pelzer, and Matthew Ryan: New Tools and New Crops for Organic No-Till Systems

  • Paola Olaya Arenas: Risk assessment tool for predicting seedcorn maggot

  • Kelly Robbins & Ranjita Thapa: Proximal Sensing for Modeling Development Curves and Accelerated Breeding of Climate Resilient Crop Varieties

  • Joseph Amsili: Effects of tillage and cropping system on deep soil organic carbon (SOC) stocks at the Musgrave Research Farm

2.0 Agricultural Plant, 2.0 Demonstration, 2.0 Private Field and Forage NYS DEC Certified Pesticide Applicator Recertification credits and 0.5 NM, 0.5 SW, 1.5 PM, 0.5 CM, 0.5 Sustainability, 0.5 Precision Ag CCA credits will be available.
