I am honored to serve as the Assistant Director and Coordinator of Undergraduate Research and Honors, where I lead initiatives to design, implement, and evaluate programs that promote engagement in and access to undergraduate research for students in Cornell’s Biological Sciences major. In this role, I oversee the Biological Sciences Honors Program and direct the Office of Undergraduate Biology’s efforts to prepare and advise students pursuing graduate education. I also provide individualized research advising and offer holistic support to foster the academic, personal, and professional development of all biological sciences students.
I hold a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences from Northern Arizona University, a Master of Science in General Biology for Secondary Science Teachers from the University of Arizona, and a PhD in Science Education from Syracuse University. Since joining Cornell in 2001, I have served in several leadership roles, including Director of Educational Programs at the Cornell Laboratory for Accelerator-based Sciences and Education (CLASSE). In 2019, I transitioned to the School of Continuing Education and Summer Sessions as Director of Cornell’s Adult University, where I led the development and delivery of on-campus, off-campus, and online educational programs and webinars.
I am excited to be part of the Office of Undergraduate Biology team and am deeply committed to advancing its mission and making a meaningful impact on students’ lives.
