Maria Sorensen

Maria grew up in Dover, New Hampshire, where she spent much of her time participating in Future Farmers of America and riding horses. After graduating college, she spent a year as an AmeriCorps service member, developing a volunteer program for a local nonprofit. During her time there, she discovered her passion for engaging with the local community and wanted to combine this with her enthusiasm for livestock and farming. 

Shortly after her service year came to an end, she moved to Massachusetts, where she spent three years raising livestock on an educational working farm. While caring for the livestock there, she also spent time engaging with visitors and collaborating with staff in other departments. 

In her free time Maria enjoys exploring the hiking trails in the area, frequenting the local cafes and baking bread.
