From asparagus to zygomycetes, Marcus brings a diverse passion for all things flora to the New York State Integrated Pest Management Program. A lifelong amateur regenerative farmer, Marcus uses his passion and knowledge to develop plans for beginning farmers and help experienced farmers dial in new practices. While working on his degree, he started and ran a small mushroom farm in Syracuse, NY. Prior to joining NYSIPM, Marcus worked in forestry, arborist consulting, plant breeding and genetics. He continues to breed very hot peppers and cacti as a hobby.
