Connecting ideas, people, and possibilities within CALS and across Cornell. 

The CALS Community Research Forum is a new monthly discussion series bringing together researchers, students and staff from the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences (CALS) and across the broader Cornell community to explore emerging themes in agriculture and the life sciences from diverse perspectives. Through short presentations and open discussion, the forum aims to highlight innovative directions, sparks collaborations, and creates space for informal campuswide connection. Sponsored by the CALS Research and Innovation Office and collaborating partners, this series supports shared discovery and forward‑looking research planning.

  • Dr. Michael Gore, “Holistic Crop Design: Linking Genes, Nutrition, and Health Outcomes”, College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, School of Integrative Plant Sciences, Plant Breeding and Genetics Section.
  • Dr. Elad Tako,Designing Food for Health: Roles of Plant Bioactives in Gut Functionality, Microbiome Dynamics, and Inflammation Across In Vivo Systems”, College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, Food Sciences.
