The Biological Sciences major is offered in both the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences and the College of Arts & Sciences. The major is administered by The Office of Undergraduate Biology.
We believe that a diverse body of students learning science together creates enhanced learning, better innovation and greater creativity.
We value diversity because it creates scientists who are better equipped to lead and work in diverse teams to solve critical problems facing our world today in health, medicine and the environment.
As part of its central mission of providing a world-class education to its undergraduates, Biological Sciences at Cornell is committed to maintaining the diversity of its student body by welcoming and supporting students with backgrounds historically less represented in science: underrepresented racial and cultural minority students, first-generation college students, low-income students, students with disabilities, and women. We promote a tolerant and sensitive learning environment and offer programs that broaden the pipeline of diverse individuals entering and succeeding in science.
