In her role as an extension aide with Cornell Integrated Pest Management, Ximena develops materials and workshops to build knowledge and enhance accessibility to IPM materials for Spanish-speaking audiences.
Prior to joining the Cornell IPM team, Ximena worked in sustainable and community-based tourism in Bolivia and Mexico where she supported local communities in their efforts to build sustainable ways to grow tourism without sacrificing their culture and traditions.
Ximena is fluent in English and Spanish and brings a people-first approach to her work with diverse audiences and stakeholders.
