Julia Forte '24

Julia is concentrating in Neurobiology & Behavior, with plans to go to medical school.  On campus and in Ithaca, she is involved in Doctors Without Borders, the Varna Volunteer Fire Department, and will be captain of Cornell’s figure skating team this fall.  She also conducts research at the Reed Lab, studying plasticity in butterfly populations.  For fun, Julia enjoys spending time outside with friends and going to restaurants.  In previous summers, Julia volunteered in the Pathology Department at NYU/Tisch, and volunteered at a local EMT agency.  Her favorite class at Cornell so far has been BIOEE 1780.

Her advice for incoming freshmen

I think it is important not to be too hard on yourself and just try your best in your courses your first semester.”
