Each month at our "What's Bugging You? First Friday" events, experts will share practical information and answer questions on using integrated pest management (IPM) to avoid pest problems and promote a healthy environment where you live, work, learn and play. We’ll end with an IPM Minute, and cover a specific action you can take in the next few days to help you avoid pest problems.
Feature presentation—Right Plant, Right Place.
Did you know that plants have preferences for the type of soil where they are grown and the amounts of water and sunlight they receive? Picking a plant that matches your growing conditions can mean the difference between successful establishment or failure. This session will cover the concept of selecting the right plant for the right place, and teach you the right way to transplant trees and shrubs.
