Taylor Brown
PhD Student, Natural Resources and the Environment
My dissertation largely focuses on disentangling the biophysical drivers of recruitment variability for cisco and lake whitefish stocks within and across each of the Laurentian Great Lakes. My doctoral research also includes investigating the distributions of larval cisco and lake whitefish within embayment nursery habitats and developing synthesis tools to advance coregonine science and restoration in the Great Lakes. I completed my Master of Science in 2020 within DNRE, where my research was focused on the contemporary spatial extent and environmental drivers of coregonine spawning habitat across Lake Ontario.
Expected graduation: 2025
