About
Sue coordinates administrative functions for the Community Learning and Service Partnership (CLASP) program, including travel, finances, course support, website maintenance, communications and more. True to the mission of CLASP, you might see her wearing various other hats from time to time. She typically works three days a week, which may vary by semester depending on the needs of the program.
Before beginning a family and moving away from the area, Sue’s first job was in Human Ecology at Cornell, where she became Assistant to the Chair. After a period of time devoted to raising her family she returned to work in the private sector, earning her Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification through the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM) and becoming the Human Resources Representative for Compusist/AT&T; and then the Office/Human Resources Manager for a spin-off company, RP Solutions.
Sue returned to Cornell in 2000 as Office Manager and Assistant to the Director of Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS). She moved on to serve as Chair’s Assistant in Policy Analysis and Management; Program Coordinator in The Yang Tan Institute (formerly the Employment and Disability Institute in ILR); and, after eight years as Events and Program Coordinator in Development Sociology, Sue retired in November of 2017 and transitioned to work part-time for CLASP.
