Summer Symposium on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion sponsored by PRI.  Speakers will address issues of DEI in the geosciences and paleobiology, with relevance to all field-based STEM disciplines.  Issues addressed include promoting racial diversity, supporting intersectional equity, the impact of institutionalized silence in fieldwork, and factors behind underrepresentation in the geosciences.

Join us virtually for the Paleontological Research Institution’s 14th annual Summer Symposium. Our goal this year is to foster meaningful conversation and actions to
address the immense lack of diversity our field. Nine speakers with a variety of interests and experiences will explore the topics of diversity, equity, and inclusion in the field of paleontology. Each session will end with a 30-minute Q&A.
