About
Stefan Einarson serves as IT lead for Global Development in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences at Cornell University. In this capacity, he has been involved with or led numerous Information Technology initiatives specializing in the developing world. He has extensive experience with Information Technology with a focus on building network and communication infrastructures in remote or poorly served areas, database management and machine learning and artificial intelligence. Previous positions in the private sector include manager of Information Technology, helping to lead an over 300 person IT department serving an 8000 person employee base. In this role he led project teams building both the application and network infrastructures for a Fortune 500 company serving over 3 million people in over five states. Through these projects he has extensive project management experience dealing with complex, time dependent assignments in both the corporate and international education worlds.
