I received my own undergraduate training in biology in the UK and have subsequently had the privilege of working with students from all over the world. I have worked in Australia, at a botanic garden, teaching topics such as ‘Math and Art in Nature’, at international schools teaching English as a second language, and in a wide variety of high schools teaching science and biology. I have always enjoyed the pastoral aspects of education and whilst teaching postgraduate students and post-doctoral researchers how to teach biology at Imperial College, London I was inspired to pursue a role in higher education.
