Join Brandon George, graduate student in Public Garden Leadership, for an in-depth explanation of perennial plant sociability – the study of groups of plant species that are usually found together. As we tour the Bioswale Garden, we will discuss the concepts of ecology, sociability and design. This informal talk will help more advanced home gardeners and professional horticulturists understand and decode the “behavior” of perennials in a garden, and provide metrics to help ensure greater success and sustainability when designing a garden space.
The program is free but pre-registration is required; group size will be limited. Unvaccinated guests are asked to wear a face covering. Donations are welcome.
