Cyclamen mite on strawberry and Oriental fruit moth on apples

Justin Renkema, PhD, Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada

Justin Renkema is a research scientist in entomology with Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada. His research focuses on developing integrated pest management strategies for grapes, tree fruits and berry crops. Renkema earned a PhD from Dalhousie University and conducted post-doctoral research related to spotted wing drosophila sampling and control in berry crops at the University of Guelph. Prior to joining the Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada team, he was an assistant professor of entomology at the University of Florida, where he led a research and extension program that focused on pest management in strawberries and blueberries.

About the NYSIPM Academic Seminar Series

New York State Integrated Pest Management (NYSIPM) at Cornell University hosts this monthly seminar series to increase awareness of new research and techniques that advance IPM and its adoption in all types of pest management settings.
