My position emphasizes the direct application of entomological research efforts focusing on fruit and vegetable pest management support to conventional and organic farmers in the Hudson Valley of NY State. Outreach of research results of current projects are made available to various clientele groups through Cornell and CCE publications, timely email releases of advisory on-demand media and speaker presentations delivered to state-wide audiences. Our lab engages in multi-state working groups focused on the emerging invasive pest complex, assisting in efficacy screening, biological control studies and citizen science mapping efforts of new pest establishment.
