Head shot of Kelly Musick

Kelly Musick

The Roper Center for Public Opinion Research, the world’s largest archive of public opinion data, has been supporting Cornell faculty research ever since it moved to campus in 2015.

Now two faculty members are returning the favor.

The Roper Center just welcomed to its board of directors Kelly Musick, professor of policy analysis and management and director of the Cornell Population Center, and Jonathon Schuldt ’04, assistant professor of communication.

Musick studies changing family patterns and social inequality, relying on surveys such as the American Time Use Survey, the National Survey of Family Growth and the National Longitudinal Study of Adolescent to Adult Health. She also teaches courses in family demography and research methods.

Jonathon Schuldt

Schuldt studies everyday judgment and decision-making, with a special expertise in message framing and issue labeling. His recent work examines the intersection of race, ethnicity and political identity in the context of public opinion on environmental issues.

Also joining the board is Mark Hugo Lopez, director of Hispanic research at Pew Research Center.
