The pros and cons of insurance pest management

Speaker: Christian Krupke

Dr. Christian Krupke is a professor of entomology at Purdue University, where he has led research and extension programs in pest management of corn and soybeans since 2005. His primary research themes include measuring the pest management benefits and potential costs associated with  various approaches in corn and soybeans, including the impact of refuge construction for resistance management in Bt corn hybrids and the costs and benefits associated with neonicotinoid seed treatments of both corn and soybeans. Dr. Krupke received his doctorate in Entomology from Washington State University, and his MPM and BS in Pest Management from Simon Fraser University, Canada. He currently serves as the Indiana statewide IPM coordinator.
