Small Farms and Livestock Specialist, Cornell Cooperative Extension
Nancy Glazier started with the Northwest New York Dairy, Livestock and Field Crops Program in 1999 and was promoted to her current position as small farms and livestock specialist in 2008. Her responsibilities include conducting educational programs in grazing, pasture walks, production, and marketing for farms in the 9-county region. She is the co-coordinator for the NYS Beef Quality Assurance program and conducts trainings for certification as a certified trainer. Nancy supports beginning farmers.
Her favorite part of the job is meeting with farmers. She provides technical assistance on questions from the private and public sector through phone calls, monthly team newsletters, blog posts, farm visits, discussion groups, research projects, and meetings.
Nancy earned her B.S. and M.S. degrees from Cornell University.
