About
Monifa Morgan-Bell is the Program Assistant for the Feed the Future Innovation Lab for Crop Improvement and a portfolio of international agricultural development projects, such as NextGen Cassava and Muhogo Bora. With a passion for intercultural integration and communication, Monifa provides administrative leadership and support to these projects and affiliated national agricultural research institutes in East Africa, West Africa, and Latin America and the Caribbean. She also serves as the Coordinator for the Thomas Wyatt Turner Fellowship at Cornell, providing support and advocating for a cohort of visiting graduate students from historically Black colleges and universities.
Monifa has a background in financial and business administration, working previously with Cornell's College of Veterinary Medicine Accounting Service Center to provide financial and procurement support. She also worked with the City of Syracuse law department in an office management capacity.
Monifa believes there is an “art to making the intangible, tangible,” by proving support and leadership behind the scenes that makes every team successful. Morgan-Bell currently studies at Cornell University, with a focus on global development and communication.
