Milbrath is a USDA-ARS Research Entomologist in the Biological Integrated Pest Management Unit at the Robert W. Holley Center for Agriculture & Health.
His research program is focused on the development and implementation of biological control programs for exotic invasive plants. The current weed targets are two species of swallow-wort (Vincetoxicum nigrum and V. rossicum), which are herbaceous, perennial, twining vines in the milkweed family that are becoming invasive in the Northeastern U.S.
