Laura is a Spanish-language Extension Associate for the Produce Safety Alliance. She offers support for growers, educators, and regulatory officials to ensure GAPs and FSMA regulation and outreach is available to Spanish speaking communities, domestically and internationally. Laura has edited and translated to Spanish several food safety educational materials, and collaborated in the official translation of the FSMA Produce Safety Rule.
Laura received her B.S. in Agronomy from the Monterrey Institute of Technology and Higher Education, Campus Monterrey, Mexico; her Master of Science degree in Horticulture from Oklahoma State University; and her Ph.D. in Horticulture from Cornell University.
