Professor, Ecology and Evolutionary Biology
I am a professional ornithologist with expertise in avian behavior, ecology, and conservation biology. For 17 years I have been Director of the Cornell Laboratory of Ornithology, a world renowned institute for research, education, and conservation of birds around the world. The Lab is a global pioneer in creating and delivering "citizen science" projects that engage tens of thousands of public citizens in research on bird distribution, movements, and population trends.
