Penn State University Assistant Professor Caio Brunharo will discuss the impact and implications of herbicide resistance in agriculture during NYSIPM’s March Academic Seminar.
Speaker Bio
Caio Brunharo, PhD, works to generate basic and applied knowledge in order to minimize the impact of invasive plant species in agriculture, paying special attention to global threats like climate change and food insecurity. His program focuses on the identification of traits that confer invasive plant species resilience to climate change and the elucidation of how plant species adapt to agricultural practices. Brunharo’s research informs invasive species management practices in Pennsylvania and beyond. For more information, visit the Applied Weed Physiology Laboratory
