I was a professional ultimate frisbee player

What are the big challenges you want to tackle in the world?

I am working to protect global food security, which is currently under threat from climate change.

What were you doing before the MPS program?

I was a Peace Corps volunteer in the Kilimanjaro region of Tanzania.

What does global development mean to you?

Finding local solutions to global issues.

What has been the most memorable or impactful experience of your career so far?

Working with smallholder farmers in Tanzania gave me new perspectives on many things: social norms, wealth inequality, and friendship to name a few.

How do you envision your MPS degree contributing to your career?

Knowing the climate and agricultural science behind global issues will enable me to better analyze potential solutions and create successful policies.
