What are the big challenges you want to tackle in the world?

I want to help, in some small way, heal the relationship between society and nature. This may involve, in part, challenging their historical and epistemological division. What might social science be without an outside?

What were you doing before the PhD program?

I was doing a master’s in urban planning. 

What has been the most memorable or impactful experience of your academic or professional career so far?

Learning with participatory mapping and agrarian reform activists in Indonesia.
