The Galápagos Islands, renowned for its biodiversity, face challenges with a saturated tourism industry and a disconnection between locals and the natural wonders of the islands due to high tour costs. To address these issues, my project proposes to establish the first Natural History Museum on Santa Cruz Island, focusing on bioacoustics. This initiative seeks to promote sustainability, science, and community engagement while diversifying tourism, creating jobs, conducting research, and educating future scientists.
