Cornell Food Hackathon
The transformation of global food systems to meet the demand of feeding a population of over 9 billion will rely on the combined expertise, vision, experience, and commitment of researchers, educators, entrepreneurs, and consumers as well as industry practitioners working collectively to catalyze new ideas, drive innovation, and motivate change. Skills and knowledge from food scientists, nutritionists, engineers, social scientists, manufacturers, and more are needed to foster solution-oriented scientific discoveries to advance our transformative goals.
The annual Cornell Food Hackathon brings together over 150 Cornell undergraduate and graduate students from diverse backgrounds and degree programs work in multidisciplinary teams to explore a broad range of real-world food systems challenges set by our industry partners.
Together, students discover, collaborate, and innovate to develop and pitch in new solutions in food innovation, health and wellness, and sustainability. Industry experts and faculty provided feedback and coaching, culminating in a pitch competition, cash prizes, and bragging rights!
This annual Fall event is a collaborative initiative between the Cornell Institute for Food Systems and Entrepreneurship at Cornell. Check out the 2024 Cornell Food Hackathon at https://hackathon.cornell.edu/food.
