2023 Ronald D. Gardner Food Processing Pest Management Workshop with Post-Workshop Structural Pest Management Session

New York State Integrated Pest Management Extension Educator Matt Frye, Ph.D., will present “Managing Rodents in Food Facilities,” during Cornell Cooperative Extension’s Pesticide Safety Education Program’s 2023 Ronald D. Gardner Food Processing Pest Management Workshop.

A specialist in structural pest management, Frye is a project leader for the Northeastern IPM Center’s Municipal Rodent Working Group and a nationally recognized expert on rodent management. He provides training sessions, workshops and conducts research related to pest management in and around buildings.

In addition to Frye’s presentation, this agenda for this year’s Ronald D. Gardner workshop will include programs on managing bed bugs in multifamily housing units, excluding cockroaches, scavenging beetles, IPM strategies for food warehousing, managing flies in food processing facilities and an update on food pesticide regulations from the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation.
