Join us for the next general session of Food Industry Virtual Office Hours! This session will focus on environmental contaminants and food safety. Dr. Paul South (Director of the Division of Plant Products and Beverages in the Office of Food Safety at FDA CFSAN) will present on the FDA's "Closer to Zero" initiative and recent draft guidance on action levels for lead in baby food and food for young children. Following this short presentation, Dr. South will join a panel of experts from the New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets and Cornell University to address your questions on chemical contaminants and food safety during a moderated Q&A.

Food Industry Virtual Office Hours are hosted in collaboration with the New York Integrated Food Safety Center of Excellence and the IFS@CU.

Intended Audience: Open to anyone in the food industry from farm to fork.
