Celebrating my first CALS Day!
Why is CALS a great fit for you?
CALS is a great fit for me because of its humanitarian approach to the world, its motto "life-changing" really encompasses a core value I hold in regards to how I view my studies and the purpose behind it. Every student in CALS wants to help life-change in some way or another.
What is something you have been involved with outside of academics that is meaningful to you?
I really enjoyed my time on the project team Cornell University Sustainable Design (CUSD) as I'm passionate about designing solutions for environmental problems, it provided me the opportunity to put what I learned in the classroom into practice and gave me real world experience like consulting for The Smithsonian Institute.
How have you found your closest friends at Cornell?
The great thing about Cornell is that you're bound to find friends in any circles you enter. I've made friends through my major, from my freshman year dorm, all of the clubs and organizations I joined, friends who I met by happenstance, there's a lot of amazing opportunities to meet and engage with new people.
